Speaking to The Times yesterday (Monday), Kelly’s heartbroken parents said they had only good memories of their ‘wee princess’, who had just recently got engaged to fiancé Lynn McNeill.

“Kelly just loved life, she lived it to the full,” said Kelly’s father John.

“We have just been inundated with messages of support. It just shows how well thought of she was.”

A former pupil of St John’s Primary School and St Joseph’s High School in Coleraine, Kelly owned a teeth whitening business in the Diamond Arcade in Coleraine, ‘Pearly Whites’.

“She was doing really well running her own wee business. Kelly just loved chatting to people so this suited her down to the ground,” John said at his home on Monday.

Paying tribute to the rescue services, the devastated father went on: “ I just can’t thank the PSNI and the Community Rescue Service enough. I will never forget them for their help.”
