Lowest pass rate

LONDONDERRY has the worst driving test pass rate in Northern Ireland with just 55.1 per cent of those examined meeting the grade between April and December last year.

This lags far behind Enniskillen where 74.1 per cent of drivers passed their tests during the same period. The information was released in response to an Assembly Question.

It was also revealed that Londonderry had the lowest pass rate (54.7 per cent) in 2009/10 though in 2008/9 a pass rate of (55.2 per cent) was better than that registered in Armagh, Belfast (Balmoral), Larne and Lisburn.

Equally, a pass rate of 45.6 per cent in 2007/8 was one of the worst recorded in Northern Ireland. Only Coleraine had a lower pass rate.
