Luca lights up the screen

When it comes to ‘model behaviour’, a Ballymoney boy has proven he has star quality as he is currently appearing in a primetime advert on our television screens.

Little Luca Kearney, son of Coleraine Football Club manager Oran and wife Lauren, can be seen in Visit Belfast’s major Christmas advertising campaign.

Luca and his sister Ava, who are both in Primary One at St Brigid’s PS in Ballymoney, are both represented by The Style Academy Model Agency Ltd.

And it was Luca’s model looks which attracted the film-makers to cast him as the little boy of a family who are enjoying the sights and sounds of a bustling, busy Belfast at Christmas.

Mum Lauren explained: “Luca did half a day filming in Belfast for the advert.

“He will feature on billboards and advertising material etc as well as appearing on UTV, Channel 4, Outdoor NI, on channels in the Republic of Ireland and online.

“He was very excited.

“He had great fun on the day and all the crew were very good with him.

“Luca had a ‘pretend family’ for the scenes - a pretend mummy, daddy and big sister who all made up the Visit Belfast Family.

“It was a great experience for him!

“He was very excited to tell all his teachers and friends at school when the advert premiered on UTV on Thursday night.”

And if you haven’t seen the advert yet, all you have to do is check out the Ballymoney and Moyle Times website.
