Lucky escape for motorist in Moneymore after stone smashes car window

Police are investigating a report that a stone was thrown at a car as it passed through Moneymore.

Const. Steven Corry said, “At around 6.30pm on Saturday (November 14th) in Stonard Street area of Moneymore, it was reported that a stone was thrown and the rear window of the car was smashed.

“We cannot stress enough how dangerous this could have been for the driver and other road users. We are keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything in and around the area particularly youths seen in the area at this time. If you can help please call the 101 number, quoting reference number 985141115.
