Lurgan man and two Donegal men charged after drugs recovered

A Lurgan man and two men from Donegal have been charged after a major drugs bust in Lurgan on Friday night.

All three have been remanded in custody.

Kieran Auston (59) from Annesborough Road, Lurgan was charged with two other men in connection with the drugs seizure during which £300k worth of herbal cannabis was recovered near Derrymacash.

Also charged were Seamus Boyce (36) with an address of Glenwood Park, Letterkenny, and Desmond Enfield (32), from Ramelton.

All three appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday.

They were charged with possessing a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intention to supply and concerned in supply of a Class B drug.

They are due to appear via video link at Craigavon Court on April 29.

The men were arrested by detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch, working with officers the gardai.
