Lurgan misses out
LURGAN has lost out to Portadown as the location for the new Asda store in the borough.
Planning permission has been granted to redevelop lands at Edenderry in Portadown to make way for the supermarket giant.
The proposal will see the redevelopment of the existing site to provide a Class A1 foodstore, servicing and car parking.
