Lynne set to perform at fundraiser

Local songstress Lynne McAllister will be taking to the stage in Lisburn next Friday evening in a special charity concert in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

The concert will be held in Trinity Methodist Church on the Knockmore Road on Friday March 21 at 8pm.

It has been organised by the successful and pro-active Lisburn branch of the charity, which provides support to members affected by Parkinson’s and donates to research.

Guest soloist Lynne McAllister is well known in Lisburn circles for her performances with the acclaimed group Leading Ladies, as well as with Lisnagarvey Operatic Society.

Lynne will be performing some of her favourite songs from hit musicals and will be joined on the night by the renowned band Festival Brass.

The thirty-strong brass band are well known throughout Northern Ireland for their quality music making covering all musical tastes, under their Conductor Alan Corry.

They will entertain the audience at the concert with a programme of popular music. Next week’s concert will be compered by well known drama director, actor and operatic performer, Wilfie Pyper.

Everyone is welcome to this important fundraising event.
