MacMillan hits jackpot with bingo group backing

THE Bingo Magic group, which owns Carnival Bingo in Larne, has named Macmillan Cancer Support as its charity partner.

The staff at the Latharna retail park bingo hall are kicking off the partnership by getting involved in Macmillan’s flagship event – the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning tomorrow (Friday), opening the doors to customers not only for the usual game of bingo but also for a charity cuppa.

Manager Sally Clarke said: “We couldn’t be happier with our charity choice and we are endeavouring to raise maximum funds for this local charity. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer and therefore Macmillan seemed an obvious choice.”

Sally added: “Whilst this is a very serious cause and we hope to raise serious money, we plan to have some fun while raising these vital funds.”

Lisa McGrogan, fundraising manager for the charity, said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Carnival Bingo, Larne.

“As we receive limited Government support, we rely heavily on the support of local businesses to sustain our services and are extremely grateful to Bingo Magic for this support.”
