Madam's Bank proposals welcomed

PROPOSALS to develop the Madam's Bank road into a four lane carriageway connecting the Foyle Bridge with the Skeoge Link have been welcomed by SDLP Councillor Shaun Gallagher.

Roads Service's plans were unveiled at last week's meeting of Derry City Council's Regional Services Committee.

He said: "I welcome these proposals which will clearly mark out the Madams Bank road into four lanes.

"With the Bunscoil Cholmcille and Steelstown Primary School being major crossing points I have asked Roads Service to make sure that the pelican crossing and safety measures at this junction are also improved."
