Magee could be‘independent’ Uni
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness says Magee could one day be an ‘independent university.’
Speaking at Stormont on Tuesday (October 7) he said: “Recently, I met a number of very important stakeholders, many of whom believe that Magee will only really flourish when it becomes, at some stage in the future, an independent university.
“We have not got to that point yet, but I certainly think that there is a very strong argument that DEL and the university authorities recognise the responsibility that they have to contribute to the development of a university that will make a major contribution to the lifestyle of people in that area.”
