Maghaberry Elim heats up for Inflame

MAGHABERRY Elim Church will play host this Sunday evening (July 31) at 8.30pm to one of Northern Ireland’s hottest Gospel rock bands, Inflame.

The special youth concert will also feature a barbecue for the young people, as well as dramas performed by Maghaberry Elim’s own youth group and the youth drama group from Elim Christian Centre in North Belfast.

Maghaberry Elim pastor Mr Brian Madden said: “Our youth concert sees the high point of our very successful two-week summer schemes for primary school children and the secondary school age group.

“The Sunday youth concert will feature a very spiritually challenging testimony from Mr David McLean, a former skinhead and ex-member of the Far Right National Front party.

“Given what has happened in Norway, David’s testimony is especially relevant to today’s society of how Jesus Christ can radically transform a person from a Right-wing extremist to a dedicated follower of God.

“Our youth leaders will now be preparing for a Bible week in August, as well as the return of the youth organisations in September.

“We extend a warm welcome to all in the local community and beyond to come and enjoy our Inflame concert,” said Pastor Madden.

The church is located opposite the village primary school on the main street and has plenty of car parking available.
