Maghera man convicted of £8k benefit fraud
Magherafelt Magistrates have convicted a Maghera man of benefit fraud for claiming pension credit he was not entitled to.
Andrew Cunningham, 68, of Hall Crescent appeared before court on Monday, March 7.
The court he had claimed Pension Credit totalling £8,099 whilst claiming to declare that he was working.
He was given 120 hours community service for the offence and is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
