Clinched by Magherafelt District Council when 3,206 children from schools across the area turned out to form the famous rings in honour of the 2012 London Olympics, the title has now been claimed by model railway park Miniatur Wunderland.

The Hamburg attraction managed to gather almost double the number of people in Magherafelt with 6,211 participants turning out to support the city’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
