Magherafelt swimming pools expected to remain closed over weekend after glass panel incident
The swimming pools at the Greenvale Leisure Centre in Magherafelt are expected to remain closed over the weekend, after a glass panel fell and smashed on Thursday night.
A spokesperson for the council said: “The pools at Greenvale Leisure Centre remain closed while work is on-going to assess the cause of the incident.
“The pools are unlikely to re-open this weekend, but we will provide updated information as it becomes available.
“We would ask for your understanding while we ensure the pools can be re-opened safely.”
