Magherafelt to get new judge

District Judge Alan White, who previously presided at Craigavon Magistrates Court for ten years, is replacing District Judge Desmond Perry.

Mr Perry came to Magherafelt in 2007 and, at his last court sitting, expressed his gratitude to court staff and members of the legal profession for all their help over the years.

Magherafelt Courthouse is earmarked to close next year, with business transferring to Antrim Court.
