Ruth also enjoyed a great week’s fishing at Carron Valley, in Scotland having travelled over the week prior to the International, fishing each day to get to know the fishery and helping with the ladies team for the International match day between the four countries.
Prior to the team leaving for Scotland, the President of Ireland Michael D.Higgins invited the Irish Ladies Team to Aras an Uachtarain to a reception for the team and to wish them good luck and tight lines.
