Magherafelt's Christmas tree finally goes up
Workers are today putting Magherafelt's Christmas tree in place ahead of the big switch-on this Saturday night.
The other main towns in Mid Ulster have already had their switch-on events but Magherafelt's was delayed to allow completion of the public realm scheme.Things kick off in Magherafelt's Broad Street at 7pm on Saturday.Everybody is invited to join Santa and the Council Chair Cllr Trevor Wilson for the event which will be followed by a fireworks display.
