Major improvement works underway in Cookstown

Contractors broke ground on the major improvement works in Cookstown on Monday.

The public realm scheme will bring new paving, lighting, street furniture, signage and planting to the town centre.

Funded through the Department for Social Development (DSD) and Mid Ulster District Council, work begins at opposite ends of the town, starting in Loy Street moving northbound and in Oldtown Street moving southbound.
