Major roadworks in Coleraine town

Transport Minister, Danny Kennedy has announced £110,000 resurfacing works In Coleraine.

The work is due to begin on Monday, June 2 between the Bann Bridge and the junction with Union Street and last for approximately four weeks.

Minister Kennedy said: “The scheme will benefit road users on this important urban route for many years to come by providing an improved surface through the use high quality surfacing materials.”

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses, elements of the work will be carried out using lane closures and evening working. Road closures for the final resurfacing stage will be in place overnight on June 22-25.

It is expected that the works will be substantially completed by 25 June.
