Make a noise in libraries day comes to Coleraine!

THE annual Make a Noise in Libraries (MANIL) campaign aims to bring public libraries and blind and partially sighted people together to improve access to books and information.

Make a Noise in Libraries Fortnight 2012 is celebrated in Northern Ireland libraries from 11th June - 24th June and during this time, local libraries are making an extra special effort to encourage blind and partially sighed people to visit their local library to find out what is available.

Books are a great way to share experiences, explore ideas and link up with other people who share a passion for reading. Nearly two million people in the UK are living with sight loss and for many blind and partially sighted people, reading also helps to reduce isolation and plays an essential role in their health and well-being.

Coleraine Library is taking part with their adult reading group inviting everyone to listen to au audiobook on Wednesday, June 20, from 10am - 12 noon.
