Make a will and helpboost hospice funds

The hospice has teamed up with 30 solicitors’ firms that are providing an opportunity to have a will written in return for a donation to the facility.

The hospice provides specialist nursing care to local babies, children, young people and adults with life-limiting illnesses in the adult hospice, children’s hospices and at home as well as offering invaluable support to families.

Why make a will? Only three out ten people have made a will. For many of us, it’s something we’d rather not think about, but setting our affairs in order now is important.

Making a will saves a lot of heartache and it allows your loved ones to follow your final wishes.

A standard will can cost around £120. The hospice is not asking for a set minimum donation, but as it costs £9 million in total to keep Northern Ireland Hospice running each year, suggested donations through Make a Will Month are £30 (codicil), £80 (standard will) and £125 (mirror wills).

This is how your donation could help: £30 could fund an hour of specialist nursing care for a patient £84 could provide four complementary therapy sessions for a patient £105 could fund three specialist support sessions for bereaved families.
