Mallusk auction house offers 'great plates at cheap rates'

NOT many drivers know that Northern Ireland is the best place to get a personalised number plate - at a fraction of the price buyers in other parts of the UK often pay for them.

Registrations in Northern Ireland are unique compared to the rest of the UK as they start with three letters which regularly throws up sought after plates such as REZ9 or DIG4. With over one million registered vehicles here there are loads of unique and cherished registrations in a relatively small market, and as a result they also offer great value compared to purchasing personalised plates in England, Scotland or Wales.

Craig Walker, Auction Support Manager at Wilsons Auctions in Mallusk, explains: “Northern Irish plates are certainly popular - but the sheer amount of them available at our cherished registration auction on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) makes them great value. Many plates go for around 250, which certainly represents an excellent investment.”
