Mammoth sale at McAfee Auctions

MCAFEE Auctions has a mammoth 1300 lot sale over two evenings next week, and according to Gerry McAfee there is certainly something for everyone in the very varied sale of quality furniture - restoration pieces, fine collectibles - general furnishings, good quality jewellery - and nice pieces of silver, and a selection of guns and hummel groups - garden furniture.

The highlight of the sale is the furniture end, including a three door breakfront bookcase, a four door mirror backed sideboard, other cabinet, bookcases, dining room table and chair set, a fine four door wardrobe, and a three door mirror backed walnut wardrobe with matching dressing table. Smaller pieces include a revolving bookcase, two Davenports, occasional table, chairs, music cabinet, piano and other stools, small sideboards, hall tables, coal boxes, garden tables, turn over leaf table, dumb waiter, two hall stands, torcheres, two fine two door credenzas, up and over bookcase, sofa table.

Silver including a very good four piece solid silver tea service, vases, snuff boxes, vinaigrettes, etc etc.

There is also approximately 100 lots of jewellery including gold chains, good gold diamond and other rings, brooches, lot of silver chains, a gent’s gold rotary watch, ladies gold watch, a replica Rolex gent’s watch, pearls etc etc.

Outside lots include a good cast metal garden bench, patio table, planters, pots etc and there is also a plunge churn, a good garden shredder etc etc.

A good number of musical items are also included in the sale and include two cased accordions, saxophone, clarnets, etc.
