Man arrested

On Monday 17th September, a 47 year old Ballycastle male was arrested in the Broombeg area for non-payment of money warrants.

Break-in

On Tuesday 18th September it was reported to police at the Greenlight Gateway premises at Moyle Enterprise Company, Leyland Road, Ballycastle, had been broken into. Entry was gained in the coffee shop by breaking a rear window. Some damage caused and a charity box stolen.

Window smashed

In the early hours of Sunday 23rd September, the outer pane of a front window in a dwelling house in Drumawillan Park, Ballycastle, was smashed, damage possibly caused by a BB gun.

Male arrested

At 1 am on Sunday 23rd September, a 23 year old male with a Cushendall address, was arrested on Glenariff Road on suspicion of driving with Excess Alcohol. He was released on police bail until 5th October.

Joint operation

On Sunday 23rd September, as result of a joint operation between police and Driving and Vehicle Agency re anti-social motoring in the Ballycastle area nine vehicles were examined and a total of 21 defects were found.

The following actions were taken:- 5 received immediate prohibitions; 1 delayed prohibition; 2 vehicles were seized for red diesel and one fixed penalty notice was issued.
