Man arrested for bike theft

The operator observed a male taking an extended interest in a push-bike sitting unlocked outside Bow Street Mall.

The male hopped onto the bike and made off during the incident on Friday.

Police were informed of the incident and of the identity of the suspect and after a brief chase the male was detained and arrested for theft.

The bike valued around £700 was recovered from the man’s garden.
