Man assaulted by hammer and hatchet-wielding Coleraine gang

It was reported that at around 12.25am four men, one armed with a hammer and one armed with a hatchet, forced their way into a house and assaulted the male occupant, aged in his 20s.

A second man who was in the property at the time was not injured.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Gallagher is appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident to contact detectives at Coleraine Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 643 of 15/09/16.
