Man assaulted in Lisburn while walking dog

POLICE in Lisburn are appealing for information following an assault in the Knockmore estate on St Patrick’s night during which a man was hit on the head with a bottle.

A 25 year old man was set upon by five males while walking his dog in Ballycreen Drive at around 10pm.

He was initially struck on the side of the head with what’s believed to have been a bottle before being punched and kicked to the ground.

The assailant armed with the ‘bottle’ is described as in his early to mid twenties with darkish hair with blond streaks and a scar on his left cheek. The others are believed to have been of a similar age and were wearing hooded tops.
