Man ‘caught short’

A MONEYMORE man who was spotted by police urinating against a shop shutter in Magherafelt, was given a conditonal discharge for six months when he appeared at the local Magistrates Court.

Declan McVey (21), of Ballyneill Road, admitted indecent behaviour at the Diamond Centre at 12.20am on December 27 last year.

A PPS lawyer claimed McVey still had his trouser front unfastened while he was speaking to the police about the incident.

Defence solicitor Stephen Atherton said McVey had been “caught short.”
