Man charged with burglary

Lurgan Neighbourhood Policing Team have charged a 19-year-old man with a number of offences following burglaries in the Waringstown area during August and September last year.

The 19-year-old was charged with five offences of burglary to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 21 January.

The charges relate to burglaries at four business premises on Terrace View, Waringstown between 23 and 14, August, 2014 and a burglary at a church on Mill Hill, Waringstown between 9 and 10 September, 2014.

Constable Michael Allen, said: “Burglaries can be devastating for small businesses and the communities that they provide for. As neighbourhood officers we are aware of the effect crime like this can have and we did our utmost to conduct a thorough and robust investigation.”
