Man charged with having indecent child image

A Lisburn man has been ordered to stay away from children after he was charged with making indecent images of a child.

Joseph Charles Morgan, 64, from Carryduff Road, made his first appearance at Lisburn Magistrates Court this week charged with making an indecent photograph of a child between January 1, 2000 and October 2, 2012.

He was also charged with possession of a photograph or pseudo-photograph on October 2, 2012.

A police officer said she believed she could connect the defendant with the charges before the court.

The case was adjourned until April 27, when a date will be fixed for a Preliminary Enquiry in to the case.

District Judge Des Perry released the defendant on his own bail of £500.

Mr Perry also told the defendant he was to have “no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 years of age unless it is determined to be acceptable by Social Services.”
