Man continued urinating while talking to police in Magherafelt

Odhran Milne (21), plasterer, of Ballyscullion Road, Bellaghy, admitted a charge of indecent behaviour at Queen Street on April 25 this year

The court heard that at 1am police were on patrol in Magherafelt town centre when they observed the defendant urinating outside a shop premises.

A prosecuting lawyer said on being spoken to Milne continued urinating and asked the police officers: “So I’m going to be done for this?”

A defence solicitor said Milne had too much to drink during the evening and was waiting for a taxi when he “succumbed to the need.”

He added that there were not many people around at the time and he had tried to find somewhere less public.
