Man dies after Garryduff Road collision

The man who died was Mr Olaf McCaw, originally from Dervock.

He was the great uncle of the wife of Causeway Coast and Glens councillor Darryl Wilson.

The two vehicle crash happened on the Garryduff Road .

Cllr Wilson said: “Olaf was one of the last colourful characters and Dervock and Ballymoney will be a little less colourful now. He was well known for his singing and poetry and yarns . This is a devastating loss tothe local community, a very sad time.”
