Man faces charges of intimidation and threats to kill

A 21-year-old man is due to appear in court at Antrim on Tuesday charged with intimidation and threats to kill.

The man was arrested in Coleraine by police investigating the murder of Kevin McDaid in May last year.

Mr McDaid, a Catholic community worker, was beaten to death during a suspected sectarian attack in the town.

A Catholic friend of Mr McDaid was seriously injured during the same incident.
