Man fined for cannabis offence
A FATHER-of-four was fined £75 at Magherafelt Magistrates Court for possessing a small amount of cannabis.
Alan Chambers (38), of Riverside Gardens, Castledawson, was said by the prosecutor to have handed over the drug when asked by police if he had anything he shouldn’t have.
The PPS lawyer said the cannabis was recovered after police called at an address where they found the defendant on the premises on November 18.
District Judge Des Perry made an order for the destruction of the drug.
