Man fined under fisheries act

A LURGAN man was found guilty of two fisheries offences at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Paul Canavan of North Street, Lurgan, was convicted of impeding an person exercising their powers under part 11 of the Fisheries Act, and refusal to produce papers or comply with an authorised officer when requested.

He was fined £200, £100 for each of the offences, plus £200 costs and court costs of £20.
