Man has ear bitten in bar incident

LISBURN police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a 36-year-old man who had his ear bitten at licensed premises in Bachelors Walk in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Staff had contacted the police about an assault which occurred around 12.55am in the male toilets.

A man was was taken to hospital recovering from a bite mark to his ear.

A 28 year old man was later arrested and was subsequently charged with GBH and an assault on a police officer and will appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court in March. He was released on bail.

Police in Lisburn who are dealing with the assault are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information in relation to it to contact them at Lisburn CID on 0845 600 8000.
