Man hospitalised after Rosemount mugging

Police at Strand Road are appealing for information about the assault on the man in the Rosemount area on Sunday morning.

At about 3am, a man aged in his 20s was assaulted by two men at Rosemount Gardens.

He was punched in the head and knocked to the ground, whereupon his wallet and iPhone 6 were stolen. The victim sustained injuries to his face and attended hospital. Anyone who saw the incident or has information that could assist in identifying the culprits is asked to contact the police non-emergency number, 101.
