Man in court on drugs charge

Officers from the pro-active crime team at Strand Road have charged a 31-year-old man with possession of class B drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and cultivating cannabis.

He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court today, Thursday, July 9. As is normal procedure, the charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

It is understood the charges relate to the seizure of an estimated £400,000 worth of cannabis plants by PSNI neighbourhood officers at Limavady, from a house at Farkland, near Foreglen, just off the main Londonderry to Dungiven Road, on Thursday, October 23.
