Man in court over murder of father
A BALLYMENA man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his father and the attempted murder of his mother, last month.
Gregory Lamont (26), of Carnvale, Ballymena is alleged to have committed the offences on January 15.
John Lamont (64), was stabbed to death at a property in Carnvale, off the Carniny Road, his wife (59) was also seriously injured in the incident.
The case was adjourned to Ballymena Magistrates Court on March 28. The defendant was remanded on Bail by consent.
