Man injured in fight is taken to hospital

POLICE are appealing for information following a reports of a number of persons fighting in the Diamond area of Ballycastle in the early hours of Monday morning.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a 27-year-old man was injured during the altercation, which occurred sometime around 2.30am.

The man required hospital treatment for injuries to his face and head, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Police say that anyone with information about the incident or who can help in any way is asked to contact Coleraine Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
