Man is banned for dangerous driving

Caolan Doyle (19), Gilpins Mews, Lurgan, was also fined £175.

The court heard that at 8.30pm on the Portadown Road, Lurgan, the defendant was overtaking vehicles inside the 30mph speed limit.

He was driving towards oncoming traffic and another driver had to brake sharply to avoid a collision.

The defendant’s partner and a four month old baby were in the car with him.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said his client accepted it was poor driving but thankfully no-one was injured. He added that Doyle accepted there would be a period of disqualification.
