Man is charged '¨with assaulting '¨four police officers

A Dollingstown man has been charged with assaulting four police officers and a woman and possession of a flick knife.

Michael Thomas Magill (34), Inn Road, Dollingstown, appeared in the dock last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

The charges against him allege that on August 9 this year he assaulted four police constables and resisting a constable.

He is also accused of unlawful assault on a female and unlawfully and maliciously attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to her.

It is also alleged that Magill was in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a flick knife, with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He was remanded on his own bail of £200 to appear again on September 7.
