Man is rescued in building site incident

A man in his 50s was rescued by Firefighters using manual handling equipment, after becoming trapped at a building site.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “NIFRS received a call at 3:56pm to a report of a man in distress at the Dromore Street area of Banbridge on Thursday, August 25.

“Two Fire Appliances from Banbridge Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Lurgan Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Dromore Fire Station were deployed to the scene. A man in his 50s was rescued by Firefighters using manual handling equipment, after becoming trapped.”
