Man jailed over Finvoy attempted robbery
A MAN has been jailed following an attempted robbery at Finvoy Post Office earlier this year.
John Gerard McClements with an address at Shamrock Park, Rosnashane pleaded guilty to one charge of attempted robbery and another of criminal damage at Antrim Crown Court last Tuesday.
The court heard McClements attempted to rob the Post Office on January 6 and in the same incident damaged a pane of glass belonging to a door in the property.
McClements was told he must serve one year and six months in prison followed by a period of one year and 10 months on licence when he is released.
