Man offered to pay fine after being caught urinating

But Gary Lynch, whose address was given as Clanrolla Park, Craigavon, was fined £150 last Wednesday at the local court for indecent behaviour and also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that at 1.50am on January 18 this year he was seen urinating at a residential doorway between the Station Grill and a cycle shop in William
 Street, Lurgan.

When he was approached by police he took £60 from his wallet and said ‘this is the fine money’.

A barrister representing the defendant said this was the second time Lynch had been apprehended for this sort of offence and he should have learned from the first time.

He explained that the defendant had been out for the night and found himself caught short.
