Man on probation for drugs offences

A Lurgan man has been put on probation for six months for drugs offences last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

He was 32 two year old Mark Robert Prigent, Lake Street, Lurgan, and he admitted two charges of possession and cultivation of cannabis.

He was charged after the discovery of eight suspected plants, in addition to a small bag containing cannabis, on August 21 past.

District Judge Mervyn Bates imposed a probation order of six months duration.

He said the order is to include the defendant’s participation in an appropriate drugs rehabilitation programme.
