Man passed 'dud cheques'

A KELLS man will be sentenced next month for what a judge described as "passing dud cheques".

District Judge Des Perry ordered pre-sentence probation reports to be compiled on Samuel Alan Lynn (24), of Crosshill View, after he admitted five counts of fraud by false representation, at Ballymena Magistrates Court.

Solicitor David Nagra said the account from which Lynn had been writing cheques had been closed.

Lynn will be sentenced on October 28.
