Man pleaded guilty to assault

A 41-year-old man will be sentenced next month at Banbridge Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to three assaults.

Through his solicitor, Stephen Ernest Cooke, Ballygowan Park, Banbridge, admitted assault on a female police officer, a constable and a female on March 12 this year when he appeared at last Thursday’s court.

District Judge, Mr Alan White, said that because it was a domestic matter a pre-sentence report would be required.

He adjourned the case until May 12 so that a report could be prepared.
