Phillip Clarke, 32, from Horn Drive, appeared in Lisburn Magistrates Court this week charged with possession of cannabis.

The court heard that police stopped a vehicle in Dunmurry on January 21 and after smelling cannabis, they carried out a search of the car. During the search the defendant handed over a small bag of cannabis.

Defence said this was “a one off” and District Judge Des Perry imposed a conditional discharge for two years.
