Man pretends to be armed and demands money

A MAN pretended to be armed before demanding money from a shop in Londonderry on Wednesday, September 7, at 8pm.

Detectives at Strand Road are appealing for information after the man demanded money from the shop in Great James Street.

The man gave the impression he was armed however no weapon was produced. He made off empty handed. The culprit was wearing two hooded tops - one red, and one brown. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact CID on 0845 600 8000.
